Couples Therapy

Emotionally Focused Therapy- This approach can be for individuals and couples. Emotionally Focused Therapy is a short-term approach to relationship attachment and repair. This therapy explores the nature of loving relationships and family bonds working to address dysfunctional patterns and ways of engaging with one another. This evidence based therapy works to repair emotional bonds and create a greater connection for the couple. Engaging in this therapy as a couple can help the couple expand and re-organize their emotional responses toward each other. Learning new and adaptive ways of bonding interactions and replacing old, negative patterns. Emotionally Focused Therapy provides ways to develop positive cycles and create lasting change. Working on issues such as communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, infidelity, and trauma. The relationship can become less distressing during treatment and more comforting for both partners.
