Trauma Therapy
- Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment- This therapy specializes in helping individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, neglect, and failed attachment who live with overwhelming memories and emotions that lead to a compromised nervous system that impairs their capacity to tolerate the normal ups and downs of a life after trauma.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy- This therapy is helpful for symptoms of trauma or for PTSD. It is a specific type of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which helps clients evaluate, change, and recover from elements of post-traumatic stress or traumatic events.
- Exposure Therapy- This behavioural therapy targeting responses to traumatic events may be used to help confront fears in a safe and controlled environment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
- Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy (CBCT) for PTSD- This therapy is an evidence-based approach for treating PTSD. It is a therapy with the simultaneous goals of improving individual PTSD and enhancing intimate relationship functioning. CBCT for PTSD improves the interpersonal environment and capitalizes on the support of the client’s significant relationships while they endeavor PTSD treatment. It helps improve relationship issues and capitalizes on the relationship to make each individual feel better.
